Current Position:

 

a)    Present Position: Working as Secretary, Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education Since Jan’2016. Some of noteworthy activities carried out during the last two years:

 

v  Instrumental in Signing of MoU between ISRO and APSCHE.MoU has helped in development of life saving App called "Vajrapaat.”

 

v  Involved in the development of web portal to capture Staff Particulars along with College infrastructure details to stream line Engg., and B.Ed colleges.

 

vCoordinator for British Council English Commn. Skills Project. The main objective of this Pilot is to train about 150 English Teachers as Master Trainees, 2000 Trainees and one lakh Students across 13 districts and covering more than 100 Professional Colleges besides Students from Universities.

 

v   Nodal Officer for RUSA, G.O.Ms.No.58, Higher Education (TE) Department. As Nodal officer detailed project reports for five state Universities have been finalised. Prepared draft University act for only Cluster University in the  State.

 

v Nodal Officer to coordinate with India Development Foundation of Overseas Indians (IDF-OI)and the State Level Department, G.O.RT.No. 193, Higher Education (MC)Department.

 

v  Member, State level Committee, Jnana Bhoomi Portal, G.O.MS.No.45 - Social Welfare (EDN.2) Department. Provided inputs for automation of affiliation and admission process for degree colleges.

 

v  Member, State level Quality and Assessment Council(SLQAC)

b)       Worked as Principal of S V C E College of Engg., Affiliated to JNTU Hyderabad, from 2006-07. Some of the activities carried during my tenure as Principal are listed below:

 

·         The students are motivated to work hard. Class room lectures were supplemented by guest lectures from R&D organizations like ISRO,DRDO etc., Faculty are encouraged to used E-learning tools and LCD projectors as teaching aids along with conventional teaching.

·         Student Teams were formed to inculcate a sense of competition and pride in the Studies and Co-curricular activities as well.

 

·         The students are encouraged to carry out mini projects from II year onwards. The students are provided a platform to express their ideas and innovations in the form of workshops/seminars.

 

·         The faculty are encouraged to keep abreast of the latest developments by making them to participate in Faculty development programs being conducted by IITs, NITs & Universities. Financial assistance and necessary support were extended to carry out their research work.

 

·         The faculty were made to prepare Lab Manuals along with sample results, along with exercises for the benefit of the Students.

 

C)  Worked as Warden for Men’s Hostel, Sri Venkateswara University College of Engg., from2010-2014.

 

The student committees for MESS, STORES, BLOCKS are formed. The Hostel officials along with the student committees are entrusted with the running of the Hostels. The tasks performed by Student committees include :

 

·       Preparation of Indents – according to daily menu.

·       Preparation of Bids for Provisions and selection of the bidder.

·       Maintenance of the blocks which includes supply of water, Book Banks, play ground etc.,

 

Hostel committee meetings are held once in a month preferably before the Mess Bill is computed.

Any suggestions for the improvement will be discussed and the minutes of such meetings are recorded.
